📌 Burkina Faso Visa Requirement
Turkish citizens holding Ordinary (bordo), Special (green), and Service (grey) passports are required to obtain a visa in order to travel to Burkina Faso. Holders of Diplomatic (black) passports are exempt from visas for stays not exceeding 90 days. Burkina Faso visas cannot be obtained upon arrival; therefore, visa applications must be made from Turkey prior to travel.
📝 How to Apply for a Burkina Faso Visa?
Burkina Faso visa applications can only be made through the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Ankara. Application files must be submitted in person, as the embassy does not accept applications by post. However, it is possible to complete your application without traveling to Ankara; authorized institutions can submit your documents to the Embassy on your behalf, and once your visa is approved, your passport will be sent to your address by courier.
Depending on the duration and purpose of your stay, you may apply for a tourist, business, or family visit visa. Applications can be made for single-entry or multiple-entry visas valid for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.

The following documents are generally required for a Burkina Faso visa application:
- A valid passport and photocopies of the necessary pages
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background
- An invitation letter from Burkina Faso or a hotel reservation document

Burkina Faso visa applications are generally finalized within 5 to 15 business days. However, this period may be extended due to consular workload or official holidays. To avoid disruptions to your travel, it is recommended to complete your application at least 7 business days before your planned departure date.
⚠️ Important Notes About the Burkina Faso Visa
There is no visa-on-arrival option for Burkina Faso; therefore, the visa must be obtained before traveling. The documents you submit must be complete and accurate, and your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the expiry date of the visa.
