🇧🇮 Burundi Visa Procedures

Dear visitors, welcome to our page. There is no visa exemption agreement between Burundi and Turkey. Therefore, Turkish citizens planning to travel to Burundi for tourism, business, family visit, or educational purposes are required to obtain a visa in advance. The Republic of Burundi does not differentiate between passport types; thus, holders of Ordinary (bordo), Special (green), Service (grey), and Diplomatic (black) passports must all apply for a visa before their trip.

Citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya are exempt from visas for travel to Burundi. For citizens of these countries, a valid passport is sufficient to enter Burundi.

📌 How to Obtain a Burundi Visa?

Burundi visa applications can only be made through the Embassy of Burundi in Ankara. Applications may be submitted in person or through authorized institutions by the Embassy. If you prefer not to spend time dealing with the visa procedures directly, it is recommended to carry out your application through an authorized consultancy.

Applicants must prepare all required documents in full and submit them to the relevant authorities. Once the documents have been checked, the application will be processed, and upon approval, the passport will be returned to the applicant’s address securely by courier.

⚠️ Important Information

Burundi visas cannot be obtained upon arrival in the country. It is mandatory to obtain your visa before departing from Turkey. It is crucial that all documents submitted are complete, accurate, and up to date to ensure a smooth process. Applications made with missing or incorrect documents may be refused.
