🇳🇬 Nigeria Tourist Visa

Turkish citizens who wish to travel to Nigeria for tourism, cultural trips, or family, friend, or relative visits are required to obtain a Nigeria Tourist Visa in order to enter the country. Since there is no visa-on-arrival practice in Nigeria, applications must be made from Turkey. During the application process, the only requirement from you is to prepare your documents completely and deliver them to us. All application steps, including form filling, appointment, file tracking, and finalization, are professionally managed by Marsel Visa.

📌 Required Documents for Nigeria Tourist Visa

The documents required for a Nigeria tourist visa application vary depending on the applicant’s status. However, there are documents that are common for all applications.

Your passport must be valid for at least 9 months after your return from Nigeria and must have blank pages. Two recent biometric photos with a white background must be prepared. The visa application form must be completed in English and Turkish and signed. An official invitation letter from a resident in Nigeria is the most important document; the inviter’s residence permit and passport copy must also be included in the file. In addition, a copy of your national ID card and a bank statement for the last three months must be submitted. Your bank account must show a balance of at least 35,000 TL, and the statement must be stamped and wet-signed.

Employee applicants must prepare an English petition on company letterhead, an employer’s leave letter, the last three months’ payslips, and SGK documents. Company owners must provide a valid certificate of activity, tax certificate, signature circular, trade registry gazette copy, and Bağ-Kur service statement. Public sector employees must submit an official leave document and a duty certificate. Retirees are required to provide a copy of their retirement ID and a pension statement. Housewives must show a sponsor from a spouse or family member and submit the sponsor’s income documents, along with a marriage certificate and family register copy. Students must submit a student certificate together with the sponsor’s financial documents and family register copy.

📝 Nigeria Visa Invitation Letter

The invitation letter is the most important document in Nigeria tourist visa applications. In this document, written by the inviter residing in Nigeria, the applicant’s name, surname, purpose of travel, dates, and contact details must be clearly stated. In addition, the inviter’s address and contact numbers must be included in the invitation. Incomplete or incorrectly prepared invitation letters may result in rejection of the application.

🕒 Nigeria Tourist Visa Application Process

The application process begins with filling out the form. The application form completed in English and Turkish must be error-free; otherwise, there is a risk of a negative outcome. After you deliver your documents to us, Marsel Visa specialists will check your documents and inform you if there are any deficiencies. Applications are submitted through the Embassy of Nigeria in Ankara, and you are not required to be present in person. Once your visa is approved, your passport will be securely delivered to your address.

🕒 How Long Does a Nigeria Tourist Visa Take?

Nigeria tourist visa applications are usually finalized within 7 to 15 business days. Official holidays, requests for additional documents, and workload may extend the process. To avoid disruptions to your travel plan, it is recommended that you apply at least 1 month in advance.

📌 Nigeria Visa Requirement for Green Passport Holders

Turkish citizens holding Ordinary (Bordeaux), Special (Green), or Service (Grey) passports must obtain a visa for tourist travel to Nigeria. Only Diplomatic (Black) passport holders are exempt from visas for tourist visits not exceeding 90 days.

📌 Important Warnings

Before traveling to Nigeria, it is mandatory to receive Yellow Fever and Hepatitis A vaccinations. Your vaccination card may be requested by border police upon entry into the country. Travelers entering Nigeria with a tourist visa are not allowed to open a business or engage in commercial activities. You must leave the country before your visa expires; otherwise, you may face penalties from the Nigerian authorities.
