The Sweden visa application form is a mandatory document required for all Schengen visa applications. Completing the form fully and accurately is essential for a successful visa outcome. Any mistakes or missing information may negatively affect your application and lead to refusal. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the details in the form are correct and consistent with your other supporting documents.
📌 How to Fill Out the Sweden Visa Application Form?
When completing the form, your biometric photo must be affixed to the top right corner. The photo must meet Schengen standards and be taken within the last six months. The form can be filled out in English, Swedish, or Turkish.
Sections 1–11 are dedicated to your personal and identity information. Sections 12–16 cover passport details. It is very important to write your passport number correctly, as any errors may directly result in refusal. Sections 17–18 include your contact details such as postal address, phone number, and email. Sections 19–20 require information about your professional status and employer details. Students must indicate their student status along with their school’s name and contact details, while retirees simply write that they are retired.
Sections 21–30 include questions about your travel plans, previous visas, and if applicable, prior Schengen visa fingerprints and visa codes. The travel dates written here must be consistent with the other documents in your file (invitation letter, hotel booking, flight reservation, travel insurance). Sections 31–33 cover details about accommodation, invitation, and financial sponsorship. Section 34–35 must be completed if you have a relative who is a citizen of the EU, EEA, or Switzerland. Sections 36–37 are where you indicate the application date, place, and signature. If the applicant is a minor, the form may be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
The final section of the form contains additional notes from the Consulate. This must also be read carefully, and the applicant must sign at the bottom with the date and location.
📌 Important Details About the Application Form
If someone else is submitting the application on your behalf, a notarized power of attorney is required. This must clearly include the applicant’s personal details and the authorized person’s information.
The contact information you provide (phone number and email address) must be up-to-date and reachable. For business and family/friend visit visa applications, the contact details of the inviting party must also be accurate and accessible. The Consulate may request additional information if necessary.
Please note that there is no online application form for Sweden visas. You must print the completed form and submit it together with your supporting documents to the relevant authority.
