Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye holding any type of passport (Ordinary/Bordo, Special/Green, Service/Grey, or Diplomatic/Black) are required to obtain a visa in order to travel to Malawi. Since there is no Embassy or Consulate of Malawi in Türkiye, all visa applications are processed through the Embassy of Malawi in Berlin. Application files are sent from Türkiye to Berlin for evaluation.
Applicants traveling on official or diplomatic duty may benefit from free visa options or fee reductions, provided that the official documents are submitted accurately and completely.
In order to strengthen business relations with Türkiye, Malawi also offers a visa-on-arrival facility for Turkish businesspeople traveling for investment purposes. Those who intend to use this facility must apply for a Malawi visa in advance, submitting their passport and flight details.
