Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who wish to travel to the Republic of Mali for tourism purposes are required to obtain a visa. Holders of Ordinary (Bordo), Special (Green), and Service (Grey) passports must obtain a tourist visa for their short-term cultural visits or holiday trips to Mali. Applicants planning a business trip to Mali are required to present an invitation letter.
The Mali tourist visa can be applied for both by Turkish citizens and by third-country nationals holding a residence permit in Türkiye. Mali visas cannot be issued with a future start date; therefore, it is important to plan your trip accordingly. The documents required for a Mali tourist visa vary depending on your personal and professional status. In addition to the basic documents, additional documents are required for employees, retirees, company owners, or public officials.
General documents:
- 2 biometric photographs with white background
- Valid passport and, if applicable, previous passports
- Bank statement (last 3 months, showing at least 35,000 TL balance, stamped, signed, and accompanied by the bank’s signature circulars)
- Copy of Yellow Fever vaccination card (mandatory)
- Flight and hotel reservations
For company owners:
- Updated company documents (certificate of activity, trade registry gazette, signature circulars, tax certificate copies)
For employees:
- Employment letter in English (prepared on company letterhead, addressed to the Embassy of Mali, stamped and signed)
For retirees:
- SGK retirement certificate (sealed and signed)
For public officials:
- Employment and leave authorization letter
📝 How Long Does It Take to Get a Mali Visa?
Mali tourist visa applications are usually finalized within 5 to 10 business days. However, Mali visas cannot be issued with a later start date. For this reason, we strongly advise you to plan your application according to your travel dates.
🕒 Important Notes Before Traveling to Mali
Since Mali is located in Africa, travelers should be cautious against infectious diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, and typhoid. Before traveling, you must visit Travel Health Centers across Türkiye to receive the necessary vaccinations. The copy of the Yellow Fever vaccination card is mandatory among visa application documents.
