🇲🇩 Moldova Visa Procedures
Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye are exempt from visa requirements for stays up to 90 days in Moldova. However, foreign nationals holding a residence permit in Türkiye (third-country nationals) are required to apply for a visa for their tourist, business, or family/friend visit trips to Moldova.

🏝 Types of Moldova Visas
The Embassy and Consulate General of Moldova have defined the following visa categories:
- Type “A” – Airport transit visa
- Type “B” – Transit visa
- Type “C” – Short-term visa
- Type “D” – Long-term visa
📌 Moldova Short-Term Visa (Type C)
Moldova short-term visas are issued for stays up to 90 days. Applications may be made for purposes such as official missions, tourism, family or friend visits, business activities, trade fairs, professional drivers’ transport duties, sports events, cultural or scientific events, humanitarian reasons, or short-term medical treatment.
Short-term visas may be extended, provided they do not exceed 90 days in total and are for the same purpose. Extension requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the visa expiry date.
🛫 Moldova Airport Transit Visa
Turkish citizens are exempt from visas for 90-day stays under the “Agreement on the Mutual Abolition of Visas” signed on November 1, 2012. However, third-country passport holders traveling through Moldova to another country must obtain a Moldova airport transit visa.
The airport transit visa is issued upon presentation of a valid flight ticket to the final destination and allows the traveler to remain in the airport’s transit area for a maximum of 5 days.
Exempt from the airport transit visa are:
- Aircraft crew members
- Holders of diplomatic, service, or equivalent passports
- Holders of residence permits issued by EU member states or the United States
- Passport holders of EU member states or the United States
🚍 Moldova Transit Visa (Type B)
The Moldova transit visa allows travelers en route to another country to temporarily cross Moldova’s borders. Applicants holding a valid visa for their final destination may stay in Moldova for up to 5 days.
