🇲🇲 Required Documents for Myanmar Tourist Visa
Turkish citizens who are planning to travel to Myanmar for tourism purposes are required to apply for a visa before their journey. Holders of Ordinary (Bordo), Special (Green), Service (Gray), and Diplomatic (Black/Red) passports are subject to visa procedures for entry into Myanmar. Myanmar offers applicants the option of an electronic visa, and applications can be completed online.
The processing time for Myanmar tourist e-visa applications is usually finalized within 3 business days. Applicants must prepare a scanned copy of a passport valid for at least 6 months and two biometric photos that meet international standards. Submitting these documents completely and accurately is important to ensure that the application is processed quickly and without issues.
The only official diplomatic representation of Myanmar in Türkiye is the Honorary Consulate of Myanmar in Ankara. There is no Embassy or Consulate General of Myanmar in Türkiye. Therefore, all visa applications are carried out through the electronic system, and the sole authority for concluding applications is the Myanmar Immigration Office.
The Myanmar e-visa is valid only for entry through Yangon International Airport, Nay Pyi Taw International Airport, and Mandalay International Airport. For travels by land, the e-visa will not be valid. For this reason, applicants must arrange their travel plans in accordance with the border points where the e-visa is accepted.
