The Republic of Nicaragua, the largest country in Central America, has a visa exemption agreement with the Republic of Türkiye. Within this scope, Turkish citizens holding Diplomatic (Black), Service (Grey), and Special (Green) passports may enter Nicaragua for short-term visits without obtaining a visa.
Turkish citizens holding Ordinary (Bordo) passports, however, are required to obtain a visa for their travels to Nicaragua. In addition, for long-term stays, a visa is mandatory for all passport types. For purposes such as education, employment, or family reunification, the relevant visa application must be submitted through the authorized diplomatic missions of Nicaragua.
