🇬🇭 Ghana Visa

Dear visitor, welcome to our page prepared with updated information and procedures for 2025 regarding Ghana visa applications. Since there is no visa exemption between Ghana and Turkey, it is mandatory for Turkish citizens to obtain a visa for all short-term travels for tourism, business, work, or transit purposes. In addition to Turkish passport holders, citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Kosovo, as well as persons holding valid residence permits from these countries, can also apply for a Ghana visa from Turkey. During your application, Marsel Visa specialists manage the entire process on your behalf, from document preparation to appointment and file tracking; as the applicant, all you need to do is provide accurate and up-to-date information and the required signatures.

📌 Ghana Visa for Green Passport Holders

Ghana requires visas from holders of Diplomatic (Black), Special (Green), Service (Gray), and Ordinary (Bordeaux) passports. Only holders of diplomatic passports are exempt from the visa fee. Applications with diplomatic and service passports must be submitted with an official note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an Embassy, or an International Organization. These regulations should be carefully considered to avoid delays before travel.

📝 Ghana Visa Types and Validity

Short-term Ghana visas are issued for purposes such as tourism, business, family visits, and education. Applicants may obtain single-entry or multiple-entry visas from Ghana’s diplomatic missions; multiple-entry visas are issued for 3, 6, or 12 months. However, a multiple-entry visa does not grant the right to stay in Ghana continuously for 3–6–12 months; for each entry, the Immigration Service generally grants a residence period of 60 days and stamps this in the passport. Regardless of the visa type, your file must convincingly demonstrate your purpose of travel, duration, and financial means.

💳 Ghana Visa Fee 2025

The basic visa fee for 2025 is 125 €, including the consular fee, visa charge, and service fee. Fees vary depending on the duration of stay, number of entries, and urgency of processing. Single-entry tourist and business visas, 3/6/12 month multiple-entry visas, and express visas have different fee schedules; express visas are charged at double the normal fee. Bank transaction fees may also be added to the total amount. Visa fees are non-refundable even in case of refusal.

📝 Required Documents for Ghana Visa

Required documents vary according to visa type and the applicant’s occupational status, but the Ghana Visa Application Form is the most important. It must be completed in English, in four copies, in capital letters, and legibly. All information must be accurate and consistent with the supporting documents in your file. Incorrect or incomplete information may lead to refusal and even penalties under Ghanaian law. Passports older than ten years or damaged passports are not accepted. Your passport must have sufficient blank pages and be valid for visa printing and entry-exit procedures. Photocopies of the ID and pages with previous visas must be included. Hotel and flight reservations covering all travel dates, stamped and signed bank account statements from the last three months showing sufficient balance and accompanied by a bank signature circular, and profession-specific documents such as employer letters, tax records, SGK service records, retirement or student certificates must be submitted. For family, visit, or business visas, an invitation letter from Ghana is required. Yellow fever vaccination is compulsory, and the vaccination card must be included in the file and carried during travel.

📝 Ghana Visa Application Form and Completion Rules

The application form is an official document prepared by the Ghana Consulate to identify the applicant and must be filled out completely with true information. A biometric photo in the specified size must be attached, and the signature must match the signature on the other application documents. Inconsistent signatures may cause problems. The form must clearly state travel plans, financial resources, and accommodation details. Marsel Visa provides guidance to ensure the form is correctly completed.

🗂 Application Process and File Management

The process begins with a pre-check of your documents; if deficiencies or errors are found, the applicant is immediately informed. Once documents are complete, your application is submitted to the relevant mission, and your file is tracked throughout the evaluation period. When a decision is made, your passport is collected and securely sent to your specified address. Upon receipt, carefully check your name, surname, photo, visa validity, entry numbers, and duration of stay. Any errors should be reported immediately to the consulate.

🕒 How Long Does a Ghana Visa Take? and Express Option

Ghana visas are usually issued within 7–10 business days; embassy workload, official holidays, and additional document requests may extend the period. In urgent cases, an express visa option is available, processed within 24 hours from the appointment. Express visa fees are charged at double the standard rates. To avoid delays, it is recommended to apply at least 10 days before travel.

❌ Ghana Visa Refusal and Reapplication

Submitting complete and accurate documents significantly increases the likelihood of approval, but consular officers may still refuse your visa if they find your documents or travel justification insufficient. In case of refusal, there is no legal obstacle to reapplying once deficiencies are corrected. Providing requested additional documents promptly is critical for future applications.

🩺 Entry Requirements and Health Precautions

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for entry into Ghana. The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before travel, and the vaccination card must be presented upon arrival. If previously vaccinated, the date on the card must not exceed ten years before arrival. Since border officials may also request hotel reservations and flight tickets, these should be carried during travel.

⚠️ Warnings

Do not apply with old, torn, or damaged passports; replace any passport older than ten years. According to Ghanaian law, persons deemed mentally unstable, medically unfit, posing a security risk, subject to deportation, or convicted under the 1960 extradition law cannot apply for a visa. Journalists and media staff must also obtain a visa and should apply at least two weeks in advance to secure accreditation. For 2025, up-to-date requirements and procedures vary depending on the visa type; following the guidance of Marsel Visa specialists ensures your application proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
