🇮🇳 Required Documents for Indian Business Visa
Turkish citizens who are planning to travel to India for business purposes must obtain a visa before their journey. Indian business visas are generally issued as multiple-entry visas valid for 6 months. On the first application, a 6-month visa may be granted, and on subsequent applications, it is possible to request a 1-year multiple-entry visa. However, in all cases, the maximum duration of stay in India may not exceed 6 months.
Biometric fingerprint submission is mandatory for business visa applications. Unlike Schengen visa procedures, previously submitted fingerprints do not provide any exemption for India. Applicants must appear in person at the consulate to provide their fingerprints. 📝 Required Documents for Indian Business Visa Application
- Invitation Letter: Must be obtained from the company operating in India and include company details and the purpose of the visit.
- Company Documents: One of the following is sufficient: Certificate of Incorporation, Importer/Exporter Code, Chamber of Commerce Registration, or Promotion Council Registration. If the invitation letter contains a CIN Number, the Registration Certificate is not required.
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the trip. Old passports and previous visas should also be included if available.
- Two biometric photos: 5x5 cm in size, recent, with a white background.
- Proof of residence: Must be obtained from the Civil Registry Office, signed and stamped (e-Government printouts are not accepted).
- Photocopy of ID card: Front and back.

- Tax certificate (most recent)
- Certificate of activity (current, obtained from the Chamber)
- Trade Registry Gazette copy
- Signature circular/declaration
- Company account statement (last 3 months, minimum balance of 70,000 TL, stamped and signed, with signature circular attached)
- For employees: A company letter on letterhead, addressed to the Indian Consulate, written in English, stamped and signed, stating the applicant’s position, travel dates, details of the company to be visited in India, and confirmation that the expenses will be covered by the company.
- For company owners/partners: A company letter on letterhead, written in English, stamped and signed, including travel purpose and company details to be visited in India.
- For foreign passport holders: Copy of passport and Turkish residence permit.
- Special cases: Citizens of China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Somalia, Iran, and Iraq must complete a Reference Form to be submitted to the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
🕒 How Many Days Does It Take to Get an Indian Business Visa?
Business visa applications are generally finalized within 1 business day after fingerprints are submitted. However, depending on workload, the Consulate may schedule appointments 2–7 business days later. Applications with foreign passports may take at least 4 business days or longer to process.
