📌 General Documents for Italy Visa
All applicants for an Italy visa must submit a standard set of documents. These include a signed application form, a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond the end of the requested visa, a photocopy of your national ID, biometric photos, a full civil registry and residence certificate, travel health insurance, flight and accommodation reservations, an invitation letter if applicable, and proof of payment of the visa fee.
For tourist trips, hotel reservations must be included; for visits, an invitation letter is required; and for business trips, a company invitation letter or fair participation documents must be provided. For those traveling by private vehicle, an international driver’s license and vehicle registration must also be submitted.

For Employees:
Employees must submit an employer’s permission letter, SGK (social security) employment entry declaration, SGK service statement, the last three months’ salary slips, and company documents (signature circular, certificate of activity, trade registry gazette, tax certificate). Additionally, stamped and signed bank statements covering the last six months must be provided.
For Business Owners:
A visa application letter for company owners, company documents (signature circular, activity certificate, trade registry newspaper, tax plate), and bank statements for the last 6 months should be added to the file.
For retirees:
Retirement certificate or pension ID, visa application letter, pension bank statements, and documents for any additional financial assets, if available, are required.
For students:
Student certificate, birth certificate (Form A), custody or consent documents, and bank account statements must be submitted. A notarized consent form is required for underage students.
For Civil Servants:
A permission letter to be obtained from the institution, the last 3 months' salary slips, and bank statements are required.

The Italian Consulate requires that the traveler has sufficient funds to cover accommodation, transportation, and daily expenses. For example;
- Minimum €269.60 for trips of 1-5 days
- €44.93 per day for trips between 6-10 days
- For trips between 11-20 days, a daily balance of €51.64 must be maintained.
Additional documents such as title deeds, permits, and rental income should also be included in the file to support your financial situation.
