🇲🇱 Mali Visa

Turkish citizens who are planning to travel to Mali are required to obtain a visa regardless of passport type (Ordinary/Bordo, Special/Green, Service/Grey). There is no visa-on-arrival application in Mali, therefore all procedures must be completed in Türkiye before traveling. Applicants are required to be physically present at the Embassy of Mali, and the appointment date will be communicated in advance.

Through Marsel Visa, you can access the updated document list, visa fees, and all the information you may need throughout the process quickly and reliably.

🏝 Types of Mali Visa

It is important to select the type of visa according to the purpose of your travel. Tourist visas are issued for short cultural or leisure trips, business visas are required for business meetings and commercial activities, transit visas are issued for travelers passing through Mali to a third destination (valid for up to 3 days), and long-term visas are required for education, work, or family reunification purposes.

Tourist visas are strictly for leisure purposes and do not grant the right to work. Business visas allow short-term stays for commercial visits. Transit visas apply to those who will pass through Mali en route to another country. Long-term visas are granted for study, employment, or family reunification and are evaluated directly by the Embassy of Mali.

Marsel Visa only accepts short-term visa applications (tourist, business, visit, and transit). For long-term visa applications, you must directly contact the Embassy.

📌 Required Documents for Mali Visa

All documents submitted with your visa application must be obtained within the last 3 months. Submitting updated and complete documentation is essential for the approval of your application.

The main required documents for a Mali visa are:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months (copies of stamped/visa pages from previous passports if available)
  • Invitation letter from a host in Mali (if applicable)
  • Bank statement showing at least 4,000 TL balance (stamped and signed by the bank, along with signature circulars)

📝 How Long Does It Take to Get a Mali Visa?

Mali visa applications are usually finalized within 5 to 10 business days. However, for foreign passport holders, the process may take longer. The duration also depends on consular workload, political or diplomatic factors, and whether additional documents are requested. In some cases, the consulate may require further documentation or invite the applicant for an interview.

🕒 Important Notes for Mali Visa Applications

Since Mali is located in Africa, travelers should be aware of infectious diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, typhoid, and Ebola, which may occur in the region. Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory, and the vaccination card is one of the required documents for the visa application.

Your passport must have a validity of at least 6 months. The evaluation and final decision on visa applications belong solely to the Embassy of Mali.
