🏝 General Information About the Mexico Business Visa
The Government of Mexico has introduced an electronic visa option for citizens of the Republic of Turkey. However, you can only use your electronic visa if you travel by plane. Before purchasing a plane ticket, make sure that the airline is registered in the SAE system; otherwise, your electronic visa will be invalid. The Mexico electronic visa (SAE) grants a single-entry right. You can enter Mexico within 30 days after receiving your electronic visa and stay in the country for up to 180 days. For the application, it is sufficient to scan and submit your national ID, passport, and one recent photograph.
Holders of Turkish Ordinary (Bordo), Special (Green), and Service (Gray) passports are subject to the visa requirement. Diplomatic (Black/Red) passport holders are exempt from obtaining a visa for Mexico.

Invitation Letter
The invitation letter must be issued by a company operating in Mexico and approved by the relevant office in San Francisco. It should indicate the scope and duration of the business trip and whether the applicant’s expenses will be covered. The letter must clearly state the applicant’s full name, company registration number, address, and contact information. A copy of the ID or passport of the inviting person must also be submitted.
📝 Mexico Electronic Visa Application
The Government of Mexico provides an electronic visa facility for citizens of the Republic of Turkey. There is no category distinction for the electronic visa. If you plan to travel for business purposes, you can apply for an electronic visa. If your travel period exceeds 6 months, you must apply for a residence permit; for residence permit procedures, it is recommended to contact the Mexican Consulate directly. The electronic visa can also be used for business, transit, family visit, or educational travel and grants a 180-day stay.

🕒 How Long Does the Mexico Visa Take?
Electronic visa applications for Mexico are usually processed within 1 business day. To avoid any issues during your trip, it is recommended to apply at least 4 days before your travel. Applications made from Turkey with foreign passports may take longer. Public holidays in Turkey and Mexico or consular workload may extend processing times.

There is no regional restriction for Mexican consulates. No matter which city you reside in Turkey, it is sufficient to scan and submit your documents.
- Antalya: Residents of Antalya and nearby areas can submit scanned documents. Applications are processed within 1 day.
- İzmir: Applications from Izmir are completed within 1-2 business days. Submitting scanned documents is sufficient.
- Adana: Applications from other provinces of Turkey can also be made through our visa service; scanned documents are sufficient. Processing is usually completed within 1-2 business days.
⚠️ Important Considerations During Travel
Obtaining a Mexico visa does not guarantee entry into the country. Border officers may ask about your purpose of travel, duration, and financial situation. They may also request the following documents:
- Fully completed FMM form
- Documents proving you can cover your travel expenses (bank statements, payslips, etc.)
- Return flight reservation
- Accommodation reservation
- For business, company invitation letters or meeting documents
Turkish Airlines (THY) flights cannot be used for the electronic visa procedure. Before purchasing your plane ticket, confirm that the airline is registered in the Mexican SAE system.
Even if you have an electronic visa, the final decision on entry rests with the Mexican border authorities.
