Turkish citizens who wish to visit family members, friends, or relatives residing in Senegal are required to obtain a Senegal Family Visit Visa. This visa is a short-term visa issued specifically for visit purposes, and the main supporting document for the application is the invitation letter. In addition, a copy of the inviter’s Senegal identity card, residence permit, or passport must be included in the application file.

Invitation Letter:
An invitation letter in English or French from the family member, relative, or friend residing in Senegal must be submitted. The letter should be accompanied by a copy of the inviter’s identity card or residence permit.
Employment Letter (Employees and Employers):
Employees or employers must provide a letter on the company’s official letterhead, written in English by a company official and addressed to the Senegalese Embassy, confirming the applicant’s leave dates and who will cover the travel expenses. The letter must be signed, stamped, and submitted together with the company’s signature circular.
Photographs:
Two recent biometric passport-sized photographs with a white background must be submitted.
Identity Card Copy:
A copy of both the front and back of your Turkish identity card should be included in the application.
Proof of Relationship (if applicable):
If there is a family relationship between the applicant and the inviter in Senegal, a full family registry (vukuatlı nüfus kayıt örneği) must be submitted.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Card:
All travelers to Senegal are required to have a Yellow Fever vaccination. A copy of the vaccination card must be included.
Bank Statement:
If the applicant will cover travel expenses personally, a personal bank statement must be submitted; if the company will cover the expenses, a company bank statement must be provided. The account should have a minimum balance of 70,000 TRY, and the statement must be obtained directly from the bank, stamped, signed, and original, with the bank’s signature circular attached. ATM printouts are not accepted.

Senegal family/friend/relative visit visas fall under the short-term visa category and are usually processed within 3 business days after the documents reach the Senegalese Embassy. Applications with foreign passports may take longer due to additional checks. During official holidays in Senegal and Turkey, the Embassy does not provide consular services, which may delay processing. The evaluation period is entirely at the discretion of the Senegalese Embassy.
