🇸🇳 Sample Senegal Visa Letter

Our page provides guidance on how to write Senegal visa letters and includes a sample letter prepared for Euroasia Global Visa Services staff.

For Senegal visa applications, a letter of request is sometimes optional depending on the purpose of travel; however, for employees or company owners, it is mandatory along with a work and leave certificate.

📝 How to Write a Senegal Visa Letter

The letter you prepare for your Senegal visa application must be consistent with the other documents you submit. Important points to consider:

  • Senegal visa letters must be written in English.
  • The date of the letter must be clearly stated.
  • It must clearly specify which embassy and department in Senegal the letter is addressed to. Senegal visa applications should be addressed to the Embassy in Ankara.
  • The letter must include your full name and passport number.
  • Travel dates must be precise and consistent with other documents (visa application form, hotel reservations, flight tickets, and travel insurance).
  • Details of the travel plan should be included, such as transportation, accommodation, and the purpose of the visit. General descriptions of planned activities during the visit are recommended.
  • Mentioning previous travels or past visa refusals is considered positive.
  • The duration of the visa and entry/exit dates must be stated.
  • Professional information must be included.

For Employees:

  • The company’s letterhead must include your start date, position, and salary. It must be signed by the company official and stamped.

For Company Owners:

  • Include the company’s establishment date, business activities, and monthly/annual revenue. The letter must be signed by the owner and stamped with the company seal.

For Retirees:

  • The date of retirement and pension amount must be stated. The letter must be signed by the retiree, and bank statements showing pension deposits must be included.

For Freelancers, Contract Workers, or Special Cases:

  • Proof of income must be included and explained.
  • If bank income appears unusually high or unclear, provide details of activities generating that income (e.g., car trading, stock market activities).

Expenses:

  • Specify clearly who will cover your expenses in Senegal and how. If someone else is covering your expenses, a sponsor letter must be provided by that person.

Commitment:

  • You must commit to returning to your home country within the visa validity period.

Additionally, for visit purposes, the person inviting you in Senegal; for business purposes, the inviting organization; and for tourism, the hotel information must be included in the letter.

Whether applying for a business, visit, educational, or tourist visa, your letter should be prepared according to the criteria above to increase the chances of approval. The visa letter serves as a preliminary presentation of your file, and embassies carefully review it; therefore, preparing it properly should not be underestimated.
