🇹🇿 Tanzania Business Visa Procedures

Turkish citizens holding Ordinary (Bordeaux) passports are required to obtain a business visa for travels to Tanzania for business meetings, seminars, conferences, trade fairs, or similar commercial activities. Holders of Diplomatic (Black), Service (Grey), and Special (Green) passports are exempt from visas for visits up to 90 days.

One of the most important requirements for a business visa application is an official invitation letter from a company operating in Tanzania. Without this invitation, the business visa application cannot be accepted. With the professional consultancy of Marsel Visa, you can prepare your documents correctly and complete your application quickly and securely.

🏝 Required Documents for Tanzania Business Visa

The documents to be prepared for a Tanzania business visa application are as follows:

  • Invitation letter (must include the invitee’s full name, surname, gender, date of birth, and the inviting company’s name, address, and contact details)
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of travel)
  • 2 biometric photographs (recent, with white background)
  • Visa application form (handwritten, clearly filled out, and signed)
  • Petition letter in English (stating purpose of travel, travel dates, and the applicant’s position at work)
  • Passport copy (page with personal details and photo)
  • Copy of national ID card
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Card (a copy must be included in the file)
  • Bank statement (showing sufficient balance to cover the cost of the trip)

📌 Key Notes on Tanzania Business Visa

The Tanzania business visa is a short-term visa type, granted for a maximum of 90 days. With this visa, you can attend trade fairs, business meetings, or conferences. However, it does not grant the right to work, establish a business, or apply for employment in Tanzania.

For first-time applicants, obtaining a long-term business visa is difficult. However, if you have previously obtained a Tanzania visa, you may be eligible for a longer-term business visa in subsequent applications.

📝 How to Apply for a Tanzania Business Visa?

The application process proceeds as follows:

  • Complete the visa application form accurately; in section 18, you must provide the name, address, and contact details of the inviting company in Tanzania. Incomplete information will lead to rejection.
  • Prepare all required documents and include them in your application file.
  • Pay the visa fee and attach the receipt to the file.
  • The consulate officers may request additional documents if necessary.

Marsel Visa ensures your documents are checked carefully and guides you throughout the process for a complete and accurate application.

🕒 How Many Days Does It Take to Get a Tanzania Business Visa?

If the file is complete, applications are usually finalized within 7–10 business days. However, official holidays, additional document requests, or workload at the consulate may cause delays. To avoid issues, it is recommended to apply at least 15 days before your planned travel date.

📄 Entering Tanzania with a Business Visa

Approval of your business visa does not guarantee entry into the country. The final decision is made by the border police upon arrival. Additionally, you must have received the Yellow Fever vaccination at least 10 days prior to your trip. Since border officers may request to see your vaccination card, it must be carried with you throughout your journey.
