📌 Required Documents for New Zealand Visitor Visa
- Passport: It must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip, and any old passports should be included if available.
- Biometric Photographs: 2 photos, taken within the last 6 months, with the face clearly visible.
- Personal Petition: A petition addressed to the consulate, stating travel dates, purpose, and who will cover the expenses. Must be signed and in English.
- Copy of Identity Card: Double-sided copy of your national ID card.
- Full Detailed Population Registration Certificate: Must be obtained via the e-Government system with barcode.
- Criminal Record Certificate: Obtained via the e-Government system under “Foreign Country (Translated)” option, in English, with barcode.
- Flight Reservation: Purchased or reserved flight ticket. If no booking has been made, Marsel Visa can arrange a temporary reservation. If accommodation is with the inviter, the invitation is sufficient; otherwise, hotel booking must also be included.
- Bank Account Statement: Personal bank statement covering the last 3 months, along with the bank’s signature circular. The New Zealand Consulate calculates the minimum required balance based on the number of days to be spent in the country multiplied by a set NZD amount. If flight and hotel are not yet paid, the required balance will be higher.
- Military Status Certificate (for male applicants): Must be obtained with barcode via the e-Government system.
- Consent Letter (for applicants under 16 years old): Minors traveling alone or with only one parent must submit a notarized consent letter.
- Australian Visa (if applicable): If you are transiting through Australia or planning to travel there after New Zealand, you must provide your valid electronic visa or proof of application.
- Property Documents (if applicable): Deeds or vehicle licenses, if available.
- Company Documents for Employees: Leave application, activity certificate, trade registry gazette, tax plate, signature circular, SGK employment notification, salary slip, and SGK service statement.
- Documents for Retirees: Retirement certificate and salary account statement for the last 3 months.
- Sponsor Documents for Non-Workers, Students, and Homemakers: A first-degree relative (mother, father, spouse) can be a sponsor. The sponsor must write a letter in English and provide documents proving their income.
- Invitation Letter: This is the most important document for a New Zealand Family/Friend Visit Visa. The inviter, who must be a New Zealand citizen or residence permit holder, must state the purpose and dates of the visit, explain the relationship with the applicant, and provide full contact details. The invitation must also include the applicant’s personal details, including passport number. A scanned copy of the signed invitation may be sent by email. Along with the invitation, a copy of the inviter’s New Zealand passport or residence permit card must be submitted.
