🇨🇿 Czechia Business Visa

Turkish citizens who wish to travel to the Czech Republic for business meetings, fairs, seminars, symposiums or other commercial purposes must apply for a Czechia Business Visa. This visa application is a mandatory procedure for developing business relations, participating in international trade events, and establishing connections with different business circles. The most important requirement in Czech business visa applications is the official and police-certified invitation letter to be provided by the company operating in Czechia. Since invitations sent by e-mail or fax are not accepted, the original invitation must be submitted.

It is strongly recommended to apply for the business visa at least one month before your travel date. Applications made less than 15 days before the intended travel may not be accepted by the consulate. In addition, even if applicants have previously given fingerprints for a Schengen visa, they are required to provide fingerprints again when applying for a Czechia business visa. Applications are generally finalized in accordance with the accommodation period indicated in the hotel reservation documents.

📝 Required Documents for Czechia Business Visa

All documents for the Czechia business visa must be up-to-date, complete, and accurate. The passport to be used in the visa application must not be older than 10 years, must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date, and must contain at least 2 blank pages. The identity details on the passport and ID card must be consistent.

During the application, the Czech Schengen visa application form must be filled out completely and accurately, with the purpose of travel clearly marked as business. In addition to the application form, the original police-certified invitation letter from the Czech company, a biometric photograph sized 35x45 mm, travel health insurance valid for Schengen countries with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros, a photocopy of the ID card, a full population registration sample (taken from the e-government system), hotel confirmation documents and purchased transportation tickets must be submitted. Moreover, bank statements covering the last 3 months, stamped and signed, are required.

Additional documents are requested depending on professional status. For employers: a business request letter on company letterhead written in English, signed and stamped, along with the tax certificate, trade registry gazette, signature circulars, and certificate of activity. For employees: a signed and stamped payroll for the last 3 months, SGK documents, an employment entry notification, and employer’s documents such as tax certificate, signature circulars, trade registry, and activity certificate. Retirees must submit their retirement card, students must provide a student certificate (can also be obtained from the e-government system), and farmers must submit a farmer’s certificate from the chamber of agriculture.

📌 How to Get a Czechia Business Visa?

The Czechia business visa process starts with preparing all documents completely and correctly. Holders of ordinary (Bordo) passports are subject to visa application, while holders of diplomatic, special (green), and service passports are exempt from short-term visa requirements. An appointment must be made at the Czech Consulate, and applicants must personally provide their fingerprints on the appointment day. The consulate may request additional documents or invite the applicant for an interview if deemed necessary. The visa decision authority solely belongs to the Czech Consulate.

After completing all procedures, the visa result is usually issued within 7–15 business days. However, for foreign applicants or those with special conditions, this period may be longer. Submitting complete and correct documents may accelerate the process but does not guarantee approval. In case of refusal, applicants have the right to reapply with a new file. Since consulates do not provide service during official holidays, applications should be planned accordingly.

🕒 How Many Days Does a Czechia Business Visa Take?

Czechia business visa applications are generally finalized within 7 to 15 business days. However, depending on the workload of the consulate, the applicant’s personal situation, or additional document requests, this period may be extended. Citizens of countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, and Syria may experience longer processing times due to additional checks. To avoid disruptions in travel plans, it is advised to complete the visa application at least one month prior to the travel date.

🏝 Czechia Visa Application Regions

There are regional distinctions in Czechia visa applications within Türkiye. Applicants from the Marmara and Black Sea regions apply through Istanbul, while those from Central Anatolia and other regions apply through Ankara. Applicants must complete their applications through the authorized visa center according to their place of residence.
