🇩🇰 Denmark Tourist Visa Required Documents
Dear Visitor, Welcome… Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who wish to apply for a Denmark tourist visa must prepare the necessary documents according to both their professional status and the purpose of their travel. In order for your visa application to be approved, it is very important that all documents are up-to-date, complete, and accurate. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years, remain valid for at least 3 months after the end of your trip, and contain at least 2 blank pages. Applications made with worn, damaged, or full passports will not be accepted, and in such cases, a new passport must be issued. In addition, passports issued under a maiden surname become invalid after marriage, and therefore a new passport must be obtained after any change in name or surname. It is also recommended that you submit your previous passports along with your application. Photocopies of your previous Schengen visas, as well as visas for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, should also be attached to your file. During the application process, you must also provide 2 biometric photographs, 35x45 mm in size, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months, showing clear facial features such as the eyes, nose, eyebrows, mouth, and chin. Photos previously used in other visas must not be reused. A front and back copy of your national ID card, your full population registration certificate obtained from the Population Directorate (E-Government copies are not accepted), and a current, detailed bank statement are also among the core documents required. Your bank statement must show the last 3 months of transactions, be issued no more than 15 days before the application date, contain a balance of at least 70,000 TL, be stamped and signed by the bank officer, and be accompanied by the bank’s signature circular. ATM printouts are not accepted. In addition, the Denmark Schengen Visa Application Form must be completed fully and accurately, signed by the applicant, and added to the file.
In terms of professional documents, employees must provide a visa request letter on company letterhead, signed and stamped, an activity certificate, tax certificate, signature circular, trade registry gazette copy, payslips for the last 3 months, an employment entry declaration, and an SGK (Social Security) service record (4A detailed). Business owners must submit up-to-date company documents including chamber registration, activity certificate, tax certificate, signature circular, trade registry gazette, and a signed and stamped visa request letter including travel purpose and dates. Public employees must provide an official leave letter, employment certificate, official leave authorization, civil service ID copy, and payslips. Retired applicants must submit a copy of their retirement card, retirement certificate, and recent bank account statements showing their pension deposits. Farmers must provide a farmer certificate from the Chamber of Agriculture. Students must submit an original student certificate in English, and if under 18, a notarized consent letter signed by both parents. If only one parent travels with the child, the other must provide a notarized consent letter; if both parents travel, a consent letter is not required. Housewives must provide a visa request letter addressed to the consulate including travel dates, purpose, and sponsor details, as well as a personal bank statement showing at least 35,000 TL with the last 3 months of activity. If students or housewives apply with a sponsor, the sponsor must submit professional documents appropriate to their employment status, recent bank statements, sponsor letters, and proof of financial capability.
In addition to these, applicants must include a travel health insurance policy with €30,000 minimum coverage valid for the entire stay, flight reservations including all connections, and hotel reservation documents. Applications are processed through authorized visa centers in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Gaziantep. If you live in another city, you may send your documents by courier to the nearest application center. Since September 25, 2014, biometric data (fingerprints) has been mandatory in all Schengen countries. Applicants who have not been issued a Schengen visa in the last 5 years must provide fingerprints at an authorized center. If you live outside the main cities, you can contact the visa office to learn your nearest biometric center and arrange your appointment.
The processing time for Denmark tourist visa applications depends on how quickly you prepare your documents and the workload of the consulates, generally ranging from 2 to 4 weeks. To avoid delays, you should apply at least 30 days before your trip, as applications made within 15 days of travel are unlikely to be completed on time. Denmark Schengen visas may be issued for periods ranging from 1 day up to 5 years; however, regardless of validity, the maximum stay is 90 days within a 180-day period. A one-year visa allows multiple entries of up to 90 days each, provided you leave the Schengen area and re-enter after another 90-day period.
