🇫🇮 Finland Visa Application
Dear visitor, welcome to our information page about the Finland visa application process.
Finland is one of the Schengen member countries. Therefore, for short-term trips to Finland, it is mandatory to apply for a Schengen visa. Schengen visas are issued for purposes such as tourism, business, family/relative visits, education, cultural or sports activities. With this visa type, you are allowed to stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days within 180 days. However, this period does not allow you to work. Those who plan to work in Finland must apply for a residence permit separately.
📌 Finland Schengen Visa
Citizens of the Republic of Turkey must apply for a Schengen visa in order to travel to Finland. During the application, it is mandatory to provide biometric data (fingerprints and photograph). This information is stored in the Visa Information System (VIS), a common database shared by Schengen countries. Applicants who have obtained a Schengen visa with the VIS label within the last 5 years may be exempt from the fingerprint requirement.
Applications for a Schengen visa must be consistent with your travel plan. If you are applying through Finland, your first entry into the Schengen area must be through Finland, or Finland must be the country of your longest stay. If you will be staying equal durations in different countries, you must apply through the consulate of the country of first entry.
