🇭🇷 Croatia Business Visa
For those who are planning to travel to Croatia for business meetings, conferences, fairs, or commercial events, this page provides all the detailed information regarding the required documents, application procedures, and important notes to consider for business visa applications. At Marsel Visa, we offer professional consultancy services to help applicants complete the process in the fastest and easiest way.
The Croatia business visa is not a Schengen visa. Therefore, it cannot be used for entry into Schengen countries. However, if you already hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, you may enter Croatia with the approval of Croatian border officials. Holders of ordinary (Bordo) passports must obtain a business visa before their travel.
Applications are accepted depending on the applicant’s place of residence through our offices in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Ankara, and Gaziantep. To learn which office is responsible for your region, you can contact our Marsel Visa call center. Once your application is approved, your passport will be delivered to your address via courier or cargo.
🏝 Required Documents for Croatia Business Visa
The documents required for a Croatia business visa are divided into two groups. The first group consists of standard documents that every applicant must prepare, while the second group includes professional documents that vary depending on the applicant’s occupational status. Submitting incomplete or incorrect documentation may delay the process or lead to a rejection of your application.
📌 Standard Documents
In addition to the business invitation letter, the following documents must be included in your application file:
- Guarantee Letter: If the invitation is issued by a legal entity in Croatia, an original guarantee letter signed and stamped by the authorized person must be presented. Along with the letter, financial documents of the guarantor (BON 1 or BON 2 form, or income statements approved by the Commercial Court) must also be submitted. If the purpose of travel is to attend a fair, an entry card or participation document must be included.
- Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended return date, not older than 10 years, and contain at least 2 blank pages. Photocopies of visas from both the current and previous passports must also be submitted. If your passport is older than 10 years, it must be renewed before starting the application.
- Croatia Visa Application Form: Forms are available in Turkish, English, Croatian, and other languages. It is important to fill in contact details correctly. Applicants under 18 years must provide a form signed by their parents or legal guardians.
- Biometric Photograph: Two recent color photos, size 35x45, with a white background showing the applicant’s full face clearly.
- Travel Health Insurance: A compulsory health insurance policy covering at least €30,000 and explicitly mentioning “Croatia” must be provided. At Marsel Visa, we can arrange your health insurance on your behalf.
- Accommodation and Transportation Reservations: Hotel and flight reservations must match the travel dates and be included in the application file. If transiting through other countries, relevant travel documents (train, bus, plane tickets, etc.) and a detailed travel plan should be added. Travelers with private vehicles must include car insurance, green card, and valid driving license.
- Financial Documents: Bank account statements from the last 3 months, bank-approved account balance, property deeds, or vehicle registration documents must be submitted. If the applicant cannot cover expenses, financial sponsorship documents, along with proof of relationship and the sponsor’s financial records, must be provided.
📌 Professional Documents
- Employees: Last 3 months’ salary slips, SGK employment entry declaration, SGK 4A service record, employer-signed leave permission letter on company letterhead, and company documents (signature circular, trade registry, chamber registration, tax certificate).
- Employers: Business visa request letter on company letterhead, company’s chamber registration, tax certificate, signature circular, SGK 4B service record, and additional income documents (property deeds, rental agreements, etc.).
- Farmers: A certificate from the agricultural chamber, along with details of registered animals, land, or farming equipment.
- Students: A current student certificate obtained through e-Devlet or the educational institution.
- Retirees: Retirement certificate or a bank statement showing pension payments.
- Drivers: Guarantee letter from the company, UND membership document if applicable, C2 license, international driving license, invitation letter from the Croatian company, and CMR transport records.
- Foreign Nationals: Residence permit card for Turkey must be submitted along with the application documents.
🕒 How Long Does It Take to Get a Croatia Business Visa?
Business visa applications with complete documentation are usually processed within 5 to 15 working days. However, the processing time may be longer during busy periods, official holidays, or for foreign nationals applying from Turkey. It is strongly recommended to apply at least 30 days before your planned travel date to avoid rejection due to timing issues.
