🇱🇻 Required Documents for a Latvia Business Visa
Turkish citizens planning to travel to Latvia for business meetings, fairs, seminars, panels, congresses, job interviews, or similar commercial purposes are required to apply for a business visa. Short-term business trips to Latvia fall under the Schengen visa category, and throughout the application process, all procedures are carefully followed by Marsel Visa. 📌 General Documents for a Latvia Business Visa
Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your return date, issued within the last 10 years, and must contain at least 2 blank pages. Copies of the pages that have previously received visas must also be attached to the file. For business trips, the Latvia Schengen Visa Application Form must be completed in full, the number of entries (single, double, or multiple) must be correctly selected, and the form must be signed by the applicant.
Two biometric photos meeting Schengen standards and taken on a white background must be added to the application file. For business visas, an invitation letter from the Latvian company is also required. The invitation must be written on the company’s letterhead, stamped, and signed, and accompanied by a copy of the inviter’s ID or passport.
A travel health insurance policy valid for the entire trip with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros is mandatory. Documents proving that you can finance your business trip to Latvia, such as bank statements or payroll slips, must also be submitted. Round-trip flight tickets and hotel reservations must be provided, consistent with your travel dates. If your trip includes visits to other Schengen countries, your connecting travel documents must also be presented. These planned transfers must be explained in detail in a signed petition. Additionally, a copy of your national ID card and a complete population registration certificate must be included.

For employees: the last 3 months’ payroll slips, SGK employment entry declaration, SGK service statement, and current company documents (certificate of activity, trade registry gazette, tax certificate, signature circulars) are required, along with an official request letter written in English on company letterhead, stamped and signed, and addressed to the Latvian Consulate. A stamped and signed bank account statement from the last 3 months showing a minimum balance of 4000 TL must also be submitted.
For employers: updated company documents, an SGK 4B service statement, and an official visa request letter in English on company letterhead addressed to the Latvian Consulate are required.
For retirees: a signed and stamped account statement showing the last 3 months of pension deposits, along with an official retirement document, must be provided.
For foreign nationals: a valid Turkish residence permit card must be included in the application file.
🕒 How Many Days Does a Latvia Business Visa Take?
Latvia business visa applications are usually finalized within an average of 10 working days, provided that all documents are properly prepared. However, the process may be extended due to the workload of the consulate, official holidays, or requests for additional documents. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to apply at least 15 days before your planned trip.
