Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your return date. In addition, your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and must contain at least 2 blank pages. Copies of the identification page, validity dates, and all previously stamped pages must be included in the application file. The Schengen Visa Application Form, which must be filled out for a Latvia tourist visa, should be completed accurately with up-to-date information, and your purpose of travel and number of entries should be correctly selected. Two biometric photos must be attached to the application form; the photos must be in compliance with Schengen standards, taken on a white background, and no older than 6 months.

For employees, an official visa request letter written in English on company letterhead and addressed to the Latvian Consulate is required. In addition, the last 3 months’ payroll slips, SGK employment entry declaration, SGK service statement, and updated company documents (certificate of activity, trade registry gazette, tax certificate, signature circulars) must be submitted.
For employers, updated company documents, SGK 4B service statement, and an English visa request letter must be submitted.
For retirees, the last 3 months’ bank statements showing the pension deposit, stamped and signed, as well as an official retirement document, must be provided.
Foreign nationals must also include their residence permit documents in Turkey in their visa application.

Latvia tourist visa applications are finalized within an average of 10 working days if all documents are prepared completely. The consulate may extend this period due to seasonal workload, public holidays, or requests for additional documents. Therefore, it is recommended to apply at least 15 days before your travel date.
