🇵🇱 Poland Visa Sample Petition
How to Write a Visa Petition
In your Poland visa application, your petition must be consistent with the documents you submit.
Points to consider when preparing the visa petition:
- Poland visa petitions can be written in Polish or English.
- The date of the letter must be indicated.
- Clearly specify which Polish consulate and department the letter is addressed to.
- Include your full name and passport number.
- Your travel dates must be clearly stated.
- The travel dates mentioned in the letter must match the dates in your application form, hotel bookings, flight tickets, and travel health insurance.
- Provide details of your travel plan, including transportation, accommodation, and purpose of visit. Generally mentioning what you will do during the visit is viewed positively.
- Past travel experiences and previous visa rejections should be mentioned, as this has a positive effect.
- Your visa request must specify single, double, or multiple entries. For example, if you have multiple trips within 15 days, you should request a multiple-entry visa.
- Include your professional information in the letter.
For employees: On company letterhead, clearly indicate start date, position, and salary; the letter must be signed by a company official and stamped.
For business owners: On company letterhead, indicate the establishment date, business type, monthly/annual income, and approve with signature and company stamp.
For retirees: Include retirement date, pension amount, and signature; also attach bank statements showing pension deposits.
For freelancers, contract workers, or artists with special situations: Include proof of income.
- If your bank income is unclear, explain additional income sources and work details in the petition (e.g., car trading or stock market activities).
- Clearly state who will cover your expenses in Poland and how. If someone else will cover the costs, a sponsorship letter must be attached.
- Include a pledge in the letter to return to your country within the granted visa period.
Additionally, for visits, include the inviting person; for business, the inviting institution; for tourism, accommodation details in your letter.
For business, visit, study, or tourist visa applications, the petition can be prepared using the above points. The visa request letter should be considered a preliminary presentation of your application file. Consulates carefully review your petition, so it must be taken seriously.
Can I Request a Long-Term Visa?
Your previous travel history is primarily considered. Any past travels, visa duration issues, overstays, or entries from other countries must be stated in the petition. The Schengen common database provides consulates with information about your travel history.
A long-term visa request can be positively evaluated if your travel plan covers sufficient time and is supported by bank statements, and confirmed transportation and accommodation reservations. If your previous visas show progressive duration increases (e.g., 1 week, 1 month, 3 months), requesting a long-term visa in your petition can be advantageous.
For business and visit visas, the invitation period may also influence approval. The validity period of your passport must also be carefully analyzed when requesting a long-term visa.
