🇷🇼 Rwanda Emergency Visa

Turkish citizens who need to travel to Rwanda urgently due to the death, serious illness, or another emergency situation involving a relative can apply for a Rwanda Emergency Visa by paying an additional fee. The Emergency Travel Document issued by the Embassy of Rwanda in Ankara allows applicants to stay in Rwanda for only 5 days from the date of issuance, including official holidays and weekdays. Therefore, all applicants must apply for the Emergency Travel Document at least 2 days before their intended travel date.

The Emergency Travel Document must be submitted to the Immigration Officer upon entry into Rwanda.

Applicants under the age of 18 are required to present a written consent letter from both parents or their legal guardian before submitting the application. This permission must be submitted in writing to the Embassy or Consulate, except in exceptional circumstances.

If one of the minor applicant’s parents is deceased, this must be reported to the consular officer during the application. If the authorization is provided by a legal guardian, the guardianship status must be proven with official documentation. In cases where one parent is absent or the consent form is incomplete, other valid written permissions, such as a letter from the existing parent, are accepted. However, if a parent or guardian does not grant permission or it cannot be obtained for a valid reason, the application must include an additional explanatory letter describing the situation.

Furthermore, for individuals under 18 years old to obtain a Rwandan visa, their biological parents must submit the application in person.

An additional fee is required for the Emergency Travel Document. To obtain up-to-date information about the Rwanda Emergency Visa fee, you can contact the consultants at Marsel Visa.
