Trade Fair Participation Document: If the applicant is attending a trade fair, the fair entry ticket or invitation must be provided.

Flight Ticket Reservation: A round-trip flight ticket or reservation must be submitted.

1. Completing the Application Form:  

The Rwanda business visa form can be filled out in English or Turkish. All information must be complete, the form must be signed, and one biometric photo should be attached.

2. Preparing the Documents:  

All documents must be complete, legible, and up-to-date. The information provided across all documents must be consistent.

3. Submitting the Application:

Once the documents are ready, the application can be submitted without visiting the embassy in person. The Embassy of Rwanda in Ankara is the only authorized institution for Rwanda business visa applications. The documents can be sent either via courier or through the online system.

4. Evaluation Process:

Applications are usually processed within 3 business days. However, this period may be extended due to official holidays, additional document requests, or high application volumes.

5. Visa Approval and Delivery:

Once the visa is approved, the passport is returned to the applicant. For online applications, the visa approval letter is sent via email. After receiving the passport, the applicant must check that all details on the visa page are correct.

Rwanda business visa applications are generally finalized within 3 business days. However, in cases of embassy workload, missing documents, or additional document requests, this period may be extended. Therefore, it is recommended to apply at least 2 weeks before your planned travel date.

💉 Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirement

All travelers visiting Rwanda for business purposes are required to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever at least 10 days before travel. The Yellow Fever Vaccination Card issued after vaccination must be presented upon entry to Rwanda. In addition, the invitation letter, hotel reservation, and round-trip flight tickets may also be checked at the border during entry.

Documents to be used in business transactions with Rwanda must be legalized by the Rwandan legal system to be considered valid. This process is carried out to confirm the authenticity of the signatures, stamps, or seals appearing on the documents.

Steps for Legalization:

  1. Notary Certification: The signatures and seals on the documents must first be notarized for verification.
  2. Apostille Certification: The documents must then be apostilled by the relevant authorities in Turkey.
  3. Embassy Certification: Finally, the consular section of the Embassy of Rwanda in Ankara checks and approves the documents.

Documents Required for Legalization:

  • Copy of the passport
  • Payment receipt for the 85 USD legalization fee
  • The original document to be legalized (such as a power of attorney, property certificate, etc.)

The Embassy of Rwanda accepts document legalization and notary applications on weekdays between 09:30 and 17:00. The person collecting the approved documents must present valid identification.
