📌 Belgium Visa Procedures

Belgium visa applications are handled through authorized visa application centers affiliated with the Embassy of Belgium in Ankara. These centers are responsible for registering your documents into the system and arranging your appointment; however, they have no authority over the decision to approve or reject your visa.

To ensure a successful application, all submitted documents must be up-to-date and complete. You should prepare your documents at least 8 days before your interview or biometric appointment and verify their accuracy.

At Marsel Visa, we prepare a personalized document checklist tailored to your travel purpose and personal circumstances, ensuring your application fully complies with Belgian Consulate procedures and international visa standards.

📝 Types of Belgium Visas

The purpose of your trip to Belgium determines the visa category you should apply for. The short-term Schengen visa types include:

  • Family/friend visit visa
  • Transit visa (airport, seafarer)
  • Cultural and sports event participation visa
  • Short-term internship and training visa

For stays exceeding 90 days, Belgium issues national (D-type) visas. These visas are granted for residence, work, study, and family reunification purposes, and their processing time is longer than that of Schengen visas.
