🇵🇹 Portugal Business Visa

Turkish citizens who wish to hold business meetings, participate in trade agreements, or attend fairs and promotional events in Portugal are required to apply for a Portugal Business Visa. This visa type is a short-term visa under Schengen rules and allows a maximum stay of 90 days in Portugal. Holders of Turkish Republic Special (Green), Service (Grey), and Diplomatic (Black) passports are exempt from visa requirements for stays up to 90 days.

The most important document in business visa applications is the official invitation letter to be obtained from the business partner or inviting institution in Portugal. This invitation must clearly state the company’s name, address, details of the authorized person, as well as the applicant’s company information, position, purpose of travel, and planned dates. If the applicant is attending a fair or setting up a stand, fair entry documents, payment receipts, or registration confirmation documents must also be attached to the file.

It is extremely important that the documents submitted are complete, up to date, and accurate. Otherwise, the competent authorities, namely the Embassy of Portugal and the Consulate General of Hungary in Istanbul, may reject your file or delay the process. The required documents to be prepared by applicants are basically the same, but additional documents may be requested depending on professional status.

Below you will find the updated list of required documents for 2025 and the application procedures for the Portugal Business Visa. The expert team of Marsel Visa provides professional support at every stage of your business visa process, ensuring you obtain results quickly and smoothly.

📌 Required Documents for Portugal Business Visa

A biometric photograph taken within the last 6 months, with a white background, measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm, and clearly showing the face must be submitted.

A copy of the Turkish ID card and passport must be added. The ID number must be visible, and ID cards older than 10 years are invalid.

🕒 Portugal Business Visa Application Process

Once your documents reach Marsel Visa, our experts carefully review them. If any documents are missing or incorrect, you will be informed, and necessary adjustments will be requested.

The appointment process is carried out through the Embassy of Portugal and the Consulate General of Hungary in Istanbul. If you have held a valid Schengen visa in the last 5 years, you do not need to give fingerprints, and it will be sufficient to send your documents to Marsel Visa by courier. First-time Schengen applicants must attend the biometric data appointment in person.

On the appointment day, a Marsel Visa consultant will meet you at the consulate and accompany you throughout the process, preventing any possible issues during fingerprint and biometric data collection.

🕒 How Many Days Does a Portugal Business Visa Take?

Under normal circumstances, the Portugal Business Visa is finalized within 7-15 working days. However, official holidays, workload, and additional document requests may extend this period. It is recommended to apply at least 1 month before your planned travel date.

Once approved, your passport may be sent to your address by UPS courier, or it can be collected by your Marsel Visa consultant and delivered to you. However, it should be remembered that visa approval does not guarantee entry into the country; the final decision will be made by border police upon arrival.

Marsel Visa follows the entire process on your behalf for Portugal Business Visa applications, ensuring you achieve fast and reliable results.
