📝 How to Fill Out the Portugal Visa Application Form?
During the stage of collecting your visa documents, you can access the application form from Marsel Visa experts or through our consultancy service. The sections of the form must be completed carefully as follows:
A biometric photo that complies with Schengen standards must be affixed to the top right corner.
The form may be filled out in English, Turkish, or Hungarian.
Sections 1–11: Consist of your personal and identity information.
Sections 12–16: Contain your passport details. An error in your passport number may directly lead to a visa refusal. Please be very careful.
Sections 17–18: Include your postal address, phone number, and e-mail address.
Sections 19–20: Provide detailed information about your professional status and the company you work for or own. Students should write “student” in this section, including the name, address, and contact details of their school. Retirees only need to indicate “retired.”
Sections 21–30: Contain questions about your travel plans, previous visas, and if applicable, details regarding previous Schengen applications such as fingerprints and visa codes. Travel dates must be consistent with your other documents such as petitions, hotel reservations, invitations, flight tickets, and travel health insurance.
Sections 31–33: Ask about invitations, accommodation, and expense coverage. The relevant boxes should be checked according to your situation. For tourist visas, completing Section 31 is sufficient.
Sections 34–35: Must be completed if you have relatives who are citizens of an EU, EEA country, or the Swiss Confederation. Failure to disclose such relatives may create a false impression of concealment for the consulates.
Sections 36–37: Indicate the application date and place, along with the applicant’s signature. If the applicant is under 18, parents must sign on their behalf.
The final section contains additional notes by the consulates. These must be read and understood, then signed with the date and place clearly written.
If someone else will submit the application on your behalf, you must provide a power of attorney. The personal details of both the applicant and the representative must be included in this document.
📌 Important Matters
For the Portugal visa application form for 2025, all information must be written completely, accurately, and with current details. Your phone number and e-mail address must be reachable. In business and family/visit visa applications, the contact details of the inviting party must also be reachable. It should not be forgotten that the consulates may request additional information.
There is no online visa application form for Portugal. The form must be added to your application documents and submitted to the relevant authority.
