📄 Required Documents for Germany Visa Application
🔹 Why Are Visa Documents Important?
For all Germany visa applications, complete and accurate documents are the foundation of a successful application. Each visa category has its own specific document requirements, and missing or incorrect paperwork can lead directly to a refusal. At Marsel Visa, we manage the process on your behalf and ensure every document is prepared meticulously.
🔹 Required Documents for Short-Term Germany Visas
For trips to Germany lasting up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism, business, family visits, cultural activities, fairs, or education, a C-type (Schengen) visa is required. The general list of required documents includes the following:
Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least 2 blank pages. Copies of previous visas should also be provided.
Biometric Photos: Two recent biometric photos (35x45 mm) with a white background are required.
ID Copy and Population Register: A full version of your civil registration record and a copy of both sides of your Turkish identity card must be submitted.
Residence and SGK Record: Proof of residence and a printed SGK (Social Security) service document with a barcode from the e-Government portal are required.
Flight and Hotel Bookings: Round-trip flight reservation and hotel accommodation proof must be included. If staying with a host, an invitation letter is necessary.
Travel Health Insurance: A policy with a minimum of €30,000 coverage that includes the entire travel period is mandatory.
Visa Request Letter: A signed letter explaining your travel purpose, dates, and financial responsibility must be included.
Financial Documents: A stamped and signed bank statement showing the last 3 months of activity should be provided. A minimum balance of 70,000 TL per person is recommended.
Employment and Income Documents: Depending on your employment status, documents such as employment letter, salary slips, tax certificate, commercial registry, and signature circulars must be included. Different requirements apply for retirees, students, and homemakers.
🔹 Required Documents for Long-Term (D-Type) Germany Visas
D-Type visas are issued for long-term stays such as work, study, language courses, internships, or family reunification. These applications require more comprehensive documentation, often including notarized and translated documents. Documents may include employment contracts, acceptance letters, motivation letters, and financial guarantees.
Marsel Visa consultants provide a personalized checklist based on your visa type and guide you step-by-step in preparing each document. Accurate and complete documentation greatly increases your chance of a successful outcome.
🔹 Biometric Data (VIS) Requirement
First-time Schengen visa applicants must provide biometric data (fingerprints). VIS records are valid for 5 years. If your data is not registered, you must provide it again. Marsel Visa consultants assist you during this appointment process.
