🇦🇺 Australia Temporary Work Visa

The Australia Temporary Work Visa (Visa Code 400) is a specific visa type for individuals who will be in Australia for a short-term job or assignment. It is granted for project-based tasks, work requiring specialist skills, urgent work needs, or situations where participation in a specific event in Australia is required. Applications are submitted through the Australian Embassy’s online system, and the process must be carried out with complete and accurate documentation.

Marsel Visa provides professional consultancy throughout the entire process — from preparing the necessary documents and completing the application form to scheduling appointments and managing the biometric procedures.

📌 Required Documents

Applicants must first complete Form 1400 (Temporary Work Visa application form) in English, fully and accurately. The information provided in the form must be supported by official documents.

The application file must include a recent biometric photo, a copy of the passport identity page, copies of previously issued visas and entry–exit stamps if available, and official documents detailing the job or project to be carried out in Australia. An employer’s invitation letter specifying the duration and scope of the work, as well as certificates or professional qualification documents related to the field of work, must also be included.

Additionally, applicants must provide a bank statement proving sufficient funds to cover expenses during their stay, along with property documents (title deed, vehicle registration, etc.) if available.

📌 Additional Documents Based on Professional Status

For employees: An official company letter detailing the applicant’s job description, leave period, work end date, and confirmation of resuming work in Türkiye after returning from Australia must be provided. This letter must be on company letterhead, signed, and stamped. The last 3 months’ payrolls, SGK social security service statement, and employment entry declaration should also be included.

For employers: A current company activity certificate, trade registry gazette, tax certificate, signature circular, and an official letter explaining the purpose and duration of the work must be submitted.

📝 Application Process

The first step in a Temporary Work Visa application is completing the online application form in English and uploading all documents to the system. An ImmiAccount must be created for this process. Submitting a complete application is essential to avoid delays in the evaluation process.

Once your documents are complete, Marsel Visa specialists will review them and immediately inform you if there are any deficiencies or errors. After approval, a biometric appointment will be booked.

🕒 Biometrics and Appointment Procedures

In Australia Temporary Work Visa applications, fingerprint submission and digital facial photography are mandatory. These procedures can only be carried out at the Visa Application Center, and during busy periods, appointment dates may be postponed. Marsel Visa will secure your appointment as soon as possible on your behalf to ensure a smooth process.

On the appointment day, our specialists will accompany you to make sure the procedures are completed without issues.

📌 Visa Processing Time and Entry to the Country

The assessment of Australia Temporary Work Visa applications is carried out solely by the Australian Embassy. These applications are generally finalized within 2 to 4 weeks; however, public holidays and workload may extend this period.

Approval of your visa does not guarantee entry into the country. The decision on whether you can enter Australia and the duration of your stay will be made by the immigration officers at the Australian border.
