The Australian visa application form must be completed online in English only. To apply, an “ImmiAccount” must be created. It is important to ensure that the information provided in the form is complete and accurate; otherwise, your visa may be refused or the processing time may be extended. The Consulate gives priority to online applications.

📌 Jurisdiction – Australian Consulate General Istanbul
There is no requirement to apply for an Australian visa in person at the Consulate General. Applications can be made through authorised agencies or consultancy offices such as Marsel Visa. In such cases, a “Letter of Authorisation” and the “Form 956 – Appointment of Authorised Recipient” must be submitted to the Consulate. Applicants residing in Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Yalova can initiate their visa applications online.
📍 How to Get to the Australian Consulate General Istanbul
The Consulate General is located in the Taksim-Elmadağ area. It can be easily reached via the Taksim Metro line or any public transport heading towards Taksim. Shared taxis (dolmuş) departing from the Beşiktaş pier are also a convenient option.
