🇬🇷 Greece Visa Required Documents 2025
(For Employees, Employers, Civil Servants, Retirees, and Students)
Application Form
Must be fully completed and personally signed by the applicant. Greece visa applications made through Istanbul for residents of Artvin, Bartın, Bayburt, Bolu, Çanakkale, Düzce, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Istanbul, Karabük, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Ordu, Rize, Sakarya, Samsun, Sinop, Trabzon, Yalova, and Zonguldak must be filled out online, printed, and signed. For other cities, the application form is not online.
Passport
Must be issued within the last 10 years, valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned trip, and contain at least two blank facing visa pages. Ordinary passport holders are subject to visa requirements. Passports issued in Northern Cyprus or containing entry stamps from Northern Cyprus are not accepted. Diplomatic, Service, and Special passport holders are exempt from visa requirements to Greece.
Biometric Photo
One biometric photo taken within the last 6 months, white background, 3.5 x 4.5 cm. Must be attached to the application form. For children under 12, it must be taken within the last 3 months.
Copy of ID Card
Double-sided copy of the ID card showing the Turkish Republic ID number and personal details. For foreigners, copies of Turkish residence or work permits.
Population Registration Certificate
Must be downloaded from the e-Government portal as a full, barcoded copy. Documents downloaded from e-Government are valid for 30 days.
Passport and Visa Copies
Copies of the passport pages containing identity information and all processed visa pages.
Travel Health Insurance
Original insurance policy valid in all Schengen countries with coverage of €30,000 or $50,000. Must start at least one day before and end at least one day after the travel dates. The policy must cover illness, accidents, or repatriation in case of death. Valid for periods between 1 week and 1 year.
Accommodation Reservations for Tourist Visits
Proof of hotel reservation showing payment information and validity dates. Ensure the reservation remains valid until the visa decision date. Greek authorities advise against purchasing before visa approval. Dates must match the form, flight, and insurance.
Invitation Letter for Family/Friend Visits
Invitation from a relative or friend in Greece, certified by the local police or civil office. Non-standard formats are not accepted. Dates must match other travel documents.
Business Invitation or Fair Participation Document:
Must be on company letterhead, stamped, and signed by an authorized representative of the inviting company in Greece. No additional certification needed. If attending a fair, include participation documents or tickets. Personal bank statements must still be provided. Dates must align with other documents.
Transport Reservations
Round-trip flight, train, bus, or ferry bookings. Greek authorities may request original tickets. Ensure they remain valid until the visa decision.
For Group Tours
Include a detailed tour itinerary, vehicle insurance, license, vehicle card, B1/B2 permits, driver licenses, valid visas of drivers, and passenger list. Applicant names must appear in accommodation documents.
For Private Vehicle Travel
Turkish driver’s licenses issued or renewed after 01.01.2016 are internationally valid. Provide your license, vehicle registration, green card insurance, and travel route details. If the vehicle belongs to someone else, include a notarized authorization letter. If traveling with the owner, include their visa copy.
For Yacht or Boat Travel
If the boat is owned by the applicant, provide the tonnage certificate or registration papers, captain’s license, and marina confirmation. If rented, include rental contract or registration. Include visa copies of the person operating the vessel.
Visa Fee
Payable in euros, in cash, at the application center.
Bank Account Statements
Original, stamped, and signed personal bank statements covering the last 3 months, issued within 7 days before application. Online printouts are not accepted unless certified by the bank. Salary account statements must be included.
Financial Proof Documents
Include title deeds, vehicle registration, rental contracts, or income statements to better reflect your financial situation.

- Employer letter (letterhead, start date, job description, salary, leave days, job guarantee upon return, stamp and signature)
- SGK employment entry declaration (barcoded or wet signed)
- SGK service statement (e-government barcode)
- Pay slips (last 3 months, stamped and signed)
- Company documents: Trade registry newspaper, tax plate, signature circular, activity certificate

- Retirement certificate (e-government barcode or wallet photocopy)
- Visa application letter (personal information, purpose of travel, financial situation, travel dates, expenses, and return commitment)

- Consent Form (Fingerprint Application for Children Aged 12 and Older)
- Student document (with barcode or original, school permission or graduation certificate)

- Bank statements and financial condition documents

You can deliver all documents to our office by courier or in person. Once received, your file is reviewed in detail by our internal operations team. You will be informed promptly about the process and the next steps. If your fingerprints are on record within the last 59 months, your application will be submitted directly; otherwise, our representative will guide you during biometric collection.
