Austria, as one of Europe’s major commercial and economic hubs, is a popular destination for business meetings, trade fairs, and commercial collaborations. Turkish citizens who wish to travel to Austria for business purposes, regardless of passport type, must apply for a Schengen Business Visa. This visa grants the right to stay in Austria or other Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days. However, the consulate may issue a visa for a shorter period depending on the evaluation of the application.
In business visa applications, the applicant’s professional status—whether they are an employer or an employee—changes the list of required documents. In addition, an official business invitation from the Austrian business partner or the company where the meeting will take place is one of the essential documents for the application. 🕒 Austria Business Visa Appointment and Biometric Procedures
Business visa applications can be submitted up to 6 months before the planned trip. Since appointment dates may be given later during busy periods, it is recommended to apply early.
Applicants who have obtained a Schengen visa in the last 5 years and have previously provided biometric data may not need to be present at the biometric center. However, applicants who have never received a Schengen visa or provided biometric data must be physically present on the appointment day to provide their fingerprints and digital photo.

Processing time for business visa applications is usually between 5 and 10 working days. However, missing or incorrect documents, official holidays, and seasonal workload may extend this period. To avoid disruptions to travel plans, applications should be made at least 3–4 weeks before the trip.
