Dear visitor, welcome to our Austria visa fee page. Foreign nationals wishing to travel to Austria must obtain a visa from the authorized Austrian Consulates before their trip. These consulates, authorized by the Austrian government, carry out visa procedures in accordance with specific regulations. Applications are not submitted directly to the consulates; instead, they are processed through application centers authorized by the consulates. This practice is implemented to reduce workload and ensure that the process runs in an organized manner.
Consulate officials do not communicate directly with applicants; they may only invite an applicant for an interview in exceptional cases. In such situations, it is mandatory to be present at the consulate on the specified date and time. Applications can be submitted either in person by the applicant or through authorized consultants.
📌 Scope of the Austria Visa Fee
Austria visa fees are updated at certain times each year by the Austrian Consulate General in Istanbul. While setting the fees, the current visa fees of other Schengen countries are also taken into account. The visa fee to be paid is not the same for every applicant; factors such as the applicant’s age, marital status, and citizenship status directly affect the amount payable.
During the visa application process, the consular fee and the application center’s service fee are charged separately. The consular fee is paid in cash at the authorized application center when the application documents are submitted. Payments are accepted only in Euros and cannot be made by credit card. Coins are not accepted for payment; however, if you pay in Euros with a higher amount, the change can be given back in Turkish Lira.
In addition to the consular fee, applicants are required to pay a service fee of €19.47 to the application center. This fee covers services provided during the application process, separate from consular processing.
📝 Expenses Other Than the Austria Visa Fee
If your application file does not include valid travel health insurance at the time of submission, the application center can arrange this insurance on your behalf for an additional fee. Schengen member states require foreign visitors to obtain travel health insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 before entering the country. You may also obtain this insurance independently from an external provider if you prefer.
Additionally, optional services such as translation, petition writing, or preparation of additional documents can also be provided for an extra fee.

📌 Reminders and Warnings
- Fees in TL can be paid in cash or via bank transfer, while fees in Euro/Dollar can only be paid in cash.
- Fees include VAT.
- If you wish to pay the Euro-denominated service fee and any selected additional service fees in TL, they will be converted according to the exchange rate on the payment date.
- Once the application is submitted, visa and additional service fees are non-refundable.
- If a cancellation request is made before the application is submitted, only the Consular and External Service Provider fees will be refunded.
