The UK Creative Worker Visa is a type of Temporary Work visa for individuals who wish to work in the United Kingdom in creative sectors such as art, dance, music, performing arts, and fashion. This visa allows applicants to take part in projects that will contribute to the UK’s cultural and artistic life.

It is intended for artists, dancers, musicians, performers, models in the fashion industry, and other professionals working in creative occupations.

📌 Visa Duration:

Up to 12 months initial stay may be granted.
If continuing with the same sponsor, the stay may be extended up to 2 years in total.
This visa does not provide settlement (indefinite leave to remain) rights.

📌 Family Members:

Spouses/partners and children under 18 can be included as dependants.

📍 Application Requirements

1. Sponsorship Certificate (Certificate of Sponsorship)

It must be issued by a sponsor licensed by the Home Office in the UK.
The sponsorship certificate must be issued no more than 3 months before the application.
The job, salary, and working conditions offered in the certificate must be included and should be in compliance with the National Minimum Wage.

2. Professional Suitability

The job applied for must be one of the professions covered by the Creative Workers Application Rules, or it must be on the shortage occupation list.

3. Financial Adequacy

You must have at least £1,270 in your bank account, held for 28 consecutive days before applying.
If your A-rated sponsor confirms they will cover your costs, this requirement is waived.

4. Health Requirement

Applicants from countries where TB screening is required must provide a tuberculosis test certificate.

5. Application Form & Biometrics

Applications are made online via gov.uk.
Fingerprints and a photograph must be provided at a visa application centre.

📍 Visa Duration & Work Conditions

Length of Stay:

Granted for the duration stated in the CoS plus 14 days, or up to 12 months, whichever is shorter.
Extensions can bring the total stay up to 2 years.

Work Rights:

You may work in the sponsored role.
You can take up to 20 hours per week of additional work in the same sector.
Voluntary work is allowed.
You can study (subject to ATAS requirements).

Restrictions:

No access to public funds.
You cannot work as a professional athlete (including coaching).

Relationship Evidence:

Marriage or civil partnership certificate.
If unmarried, proof of living together for the last 2 years.

For Children:

Must be under 18.
Can access education and healthcare in the UK.

Financial Requirements:

For spouse/partner: £285
For the first child: £315
For other children: £200

📍 Application Process and Result Duration

Applications can be made up to 3 months before the earliest start date of work.
The results are typically concluded within 3 weeks after the appointment.
Extension applications must be made before the current visa expires.
