🇪🇸 Spain Tourist Visa
Dear Visitor, welcome to the Spain Tourist Visa page of Marsel Visa.
The Spain tourist visa is issued within the Schengen framework for short-term stays, and in 2025 the required documents vary depending on the applicant’s professional and social status. Different document lists are prepared for employees registered with the Social Security Institution, company owners, retirees, public servants, students, or housewives. In order to ensure your application is complete, you must prepare the documents suitable for your professional status.
For 2025, the Spanish Consulate has introduced an important requirement. There must be at least 15 calendar days between your appointment date and your travel date. Applications that do not meet this requirement are strictly rejected. On the other hand, applications submitted far too early before the trip will not be processed either. Therefore, the timing of your application is extremely important.
Applications are subject to regional jurisdiction, and the consulate or visa center where you can apply depends on your city of residence. In addition, bank account statements must be issued no earlier than 8 days before the application date and must show the last 3 months’ transactions. Newly opened bank accounts are not accepted, and documents must always be presented in original form, stamped, signed, and accompanied by the bank’s signature circular.
🏝 Required Documents for Spain Tourist Visa 2025
The documents required for a Spain tourist visa are divided into standard documents and profession-specific documents.
The residence certificate must be submitted for applicants of all ages. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip and must contain blank pages for visa issuance. A biometric photo taken within the last 3 months, a photocopy of the national ID, a full family registration certificate, and a carefully completed visa application form must all be included. A bank statement showing a minimum balance of 70,000 TL is mandatory. In addition, supporting documents such as property deeds and vehicle registrations can also be attached.
Professional documents vary depending on the applicant’s situation. For employees, an employer’s letter, company activity certificate, signature circular, trade registry gazette, SGK employment entry declaration, payrolls, and social security service statement are required. For company owners, updated company documents, personal bank statements, and a visa request letter must be prepared. For students, a student certificate, parental consent letter, and sponsor documents must be submitted. Retirees must provide their pension card and bank account statement, while housewives are required to provide sponsorship documents. Farmers are asked to provide a certificate from their chamber of agriculture and, if applicable, animal ownership documents.
📌 Sponsorship for Unemployed Applicants
Unemployed applicants must be sponsored by their first-degree relatives in order to obtain a Spain tourist visa. If the sponsor is an employee, payroll slips, SGK documents, and company documents must be presented; if the sponsor is a company owner, an activity certificate, tax registration, signature circular, and bank statements are required. The sponsorship letter must clearly state the degree of kinship and must be signed.
