🇪🇸 Spain Visit Visa

Dear Visitor, welcome to the Spain Tourist Visa page of Marsel Visa.

Turkish citizens who wish to visit their family members or friends residing in Spain must apply for the Spain Visit Visa (Family/Friends Visit Visa). This visa is issued under the short-term Schengen visa category and is valid for stays not exceeding 90 days. The required documents vary depending on the applicant’s professional and financial situation. Employees, business owners, retirees, public servants, students, housewives, farmers, or freelancers must each prepare different sets of documents.

For 2025, the Spanish Consulate has introduced an important rule. There must be at least 15 calendar days between the visa appointment and the intended travel date. Applications that do not meet this condition will not be accepted. Furthermore, the Spanish Consulates and Embassy apply regional jurisdiction; the representation where you must apply depends on your city of residence.

The most important document for visit visa applications is the Invitation Letter. A family member or friend living in Spain must send an original invitation approved by the Spanish Municipality. The invitation must be written in Spanish or English and sent by courier in original form, as copies sent by email or fax are not accepted. Along with the invitation, a photocopy of the host’s ID card or passport must also be provided. If the host will cover the expenses of the applicant, the host must additionally provide their last three months’ payslips and bank statements.

🏝 Required Documents for Spain Visit Visa 2025

Standard documents include the invitation letter, residence certificate, valid passport, biometric photos, copies of the applicant’s ID and passport, full family registration certificate, the completed visa application form, and bank statements. If available, property deeds, vehicle registrations, or rental contracts may also be included.

Professional documents vary according to the applicant’s status. Employees must provide an employer’s letter, updated company documents, social security statements, employment entry declaration, and recent payrolls. Business owners must submit an English petition, activity certificate, trade registry gazette, tax registration, signature circular, and bank statements. Students are required to submit a family registration certificate, student certificate, notarized parental consent, and sponsor documents. Retirees must provide their pension card, bank statements, and a petition. Housewives must submit sponsorship documents, while farmers must provide a certificate from the Chamber of Agriculture. Freelancers must show work documents and bank records of payments. Athletes and coaches must present valid sports licenses or coaching certificates.

Applicants married to EU citizens must submit apostilled multilingual marriage certificates, the EU spouse’s residence card, utility bills, and documents proving the marriage is officially recognized. Foreign residents applying from Turkey must hold a valid long-term residence permit, obtain travel health insurance with €30,000 coverage valid in all Schengen countries, and provide hotel and flight reservations.

📌 Sponsorship

Applicants who do not work must be sponsored by close relatives. The sponsorship letter must be signed in original form, and the sponsor’s company documents, bank statements, and financial records must be submitted. If the sponsor is employed, social security records, payroll slips, and employer documents are required. If the sponsor is a business owner, the company activity certificate, signature circular, tax registration, and bank account statements must be provided.
